The profession of an Online Business Manager (OBM) remains relatively unfamiliar. This is a observation I’ve made when discussing my profession. Most often, individuals have never encountered this term before. In actuality, there are several terms of varying popularity used to denote this occupation. You may have come across one of these terms on social media: right-hand person, digital business manager, operations director, integrator, Chief Operating Officer (COO), online business manager, etc.
Coordinating Operations

The 3 Phases of Your Business
In the early stages of your business, you typically assume these three roles. You handle everything on your own. Often due to budget constraints, but also because many CEOs find it important to grasp all the intricacies of their business before they can delegate.
Subsequently, as your budget increases and your time becomes scarcer, you begin to delegate. The initial hire is typically a web assistant (also known as AV, VA, digital assistant, etc.), although not necessarily. It could be a different role depending on your needs.
Then, as you start delegating to multiple individuals, your team grows, and your business expands, you realize that team and project management demand a substantial amount of your time, and you find yourself increasingly distant from your role as a visionary CEO.
